If Salvador Dali, David Lynch and Robert Wiene were all alive and collaborated on a puzzle game together I'd imagine the results would look something like Back to Bed.
Your goal in Back to Bed is to guide a somnambulist named Bob back to his, well, bed by controlling his subconscious goat-like guardian Subob. Subob will prance around an expressionist dreamscape of optical illusions and manipulate the environment so Bob - who always turns clockwise - will safely arrive on his crash pad.
Developed by Danish indie studio 1up, Back to Bed was a student showcase winner at the 2013 IGF when it was but a wee browser game. Now the former students at Bedtime Gaming and Rusty Dice Digital Games are looking to expand this surrealist spin on a puzzle game with Kickstarter. If successful, the commercial release of Back to Bed would remake several of the old levels and add a host of new ones in a maritime themed world. The developers would also make an iPad version of the game.
