  • Play Unreleased Xbox One Games At PAX This Week

Microsoft has revealed its PAX Prime plans, announcing that gamers will get to play unreleased Xbox One titles, visit the Xbox Campus, and attend various Xbox-related panels as part of the four-day show.
The Xbox booth on the PAX Prime show floor will let attendees play Xbox One titles like Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and Halo 2 Anniversary from the Halo: Master Chief Collection. In addition, attendees can play Dragon Age: Inquisition, Ori and the Blind Forest, Killer Instinct, Project Spark, Project Totem, and various ID@Xbox games.
Microsoft is also shuttling gamers to its headquarters in nearby Redmond, Washington to play 25 Xbox One indie games and get a chance to walk through the Xbox campus.
Sunset OverdriveIn addition, Microsoft is bringing the new, free-to-play Age of Empires game--Castle Siege--to PAX Prime, marking the game's first public appearance. On top of that, Undead Labs is bringing its PC and Xbox game State of Decay to PAX Prime, and you can play the new "Lifeline" DLC at the show and meet the authors who inspired the franchise.
If you're in the mood to compete, Microsoft is also holding an event called Halo Pax Prime Showdown, a Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer tournament with a $10,000 prize pool. Details about how to participate in the competition can be found on the Xbox Wire.
Microsoft's presence at PAX Prime also includes a pair of panels, the first of which is called "Halo and the Journey of Master Chief," which will be held Saturday, August 30, at 11 AM PDT in the Main Theatre. Attendees will get an "in-depth" look at Halo: The Master Chief Collection and "other upcoming Halo projects and releases." This panel will feature 343 Industries developers Dan Ayoub (Executive Producer), Frank O'Connor (Franchise Director), and Kiki Wolfkill (Partner Executive Producer).
If you can't attend in person, the Halo PAX Panel will also be broadcast live on Twitch.
Microsoft's other PAX Prime panel is "Major Nelson Radio at PAX Prime." To be held Saturday, August 30, at 4:30 PM in the Sphinx Theatre, this panel will see Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb record his podcast live in front of the audience. "Like a fine wine that has gotten better with age, Major Nelson Radio goes down smooth and leaves no bitter aftertaste," Microsoft says.
PAX Prime runs Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1 (Labor Day in the United States). GameSpot will be on the ground at the show, bringing you news as it happens.
