  • Lords of the Fallen 2 in Development -- What Would You Like to See?

A sequel to October's Dark Souls-esque role-playing game Lords of the Fallen is in development, it was confirmed Wednesday by the game's developer, Deck 13. The project is still very much in the early stages of development, producer Tomasz Gop said.
"We're now working on a vision and concepts for Lords 2," Gop told Eurogamer, declining to go into further specifics about the game. Platforms were not specified, though Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC are likely.
Gop also did not provide anything in the way of a release window for Lords of the Fallen 2, which isn't very surprising given the game appears to only just be getting started.
The original Lords of the Fallen was published by Bandai Namco, though it's unclear if the sequel will also be.
That Lords of the Fallen is getting a sequel is not much of a surprise. After all, the game's budget of around 42 million Polish zloty (about $12.4 million) was recouped earlier this year after the game shipped more sell 700,000 copies, of which 200,000 were sold through to consumers.
GameSpot's 8/10 Lords of the Fallen review praised the game's combat system and atmospheric worlds. Reviewer Kevin VanOrd also enjoyed the game's grotesque creature designs that helped hammer home the game's dark setting.
