  • Watch New Trailer for Square Enix's Time-Traveler, Life is Strange

Square Enix today published a new trailer for Life is Strange, the intriguing-looking, time-travelling game from Remember Me developer Dontnod Entertainment. The trailer sets up a bit of the game's story, which follows a young woman with time-bending powers. Something violent and dramatic happens in the video, but with the ability to rewind time, the event can be undone.
In announcing Life is Strange during Gamescom in August, Square Enix teased, "With the power to rewind time, what would you change? And would it turn out to be a change for the better or worse?"
The publisher has also said that every action you take will kick off the butterfly effect, an idea that posits that even the smallest of changes can have dramatic and significant effects later on.
Not only will Life if Strange offer some interesting gameplay, but the game itself looks lovely. That's because every single texture in Life is Strange was hand drawn, Square Enix claims.
The trailer is really well done, and the song--"Obstacles" from Syd Matters--really ties it all together.
Life is Strange--which is coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2015--will be released digitally using an episodic model beginning with episode one on January 30. Every new chapter will build and evolve on the choices you made in the past episode, Square Enix says.
Square Enix also confirmed pricing details for Life is Strange. There will be five episodes in all, which you can purchase individually for $5 each. Alternatively, you can buy all five for $20.
