  • GOG Has a Bunch of New Dungeons & Dragons Games You'll Want If You Like That Sort of

Digital game distribution service GOG has updated its library with a selection of classic Dungeons & Dragons titles.
Packaged as "Forgotten Realms: The Archives" and described as "a three-part collection of 13 genre-shaping D&D games spanning 20 years of history," each is available DRM-free, as is the raison d'etre of GOG.
Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection One features Eye of the Beholder, Eye of the Beholder 2, and Eye of the Beholder 3.
Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection Two, meanwhile, contains Curse of the Azure Bonds, Gateway to the Savage Frontier, Hillsfar, Pools of Darkness, and Pools of Radiance. Additionally, the second collection has Secret of the Silver Blades, Treasures of the Savage Frontier, and D&D: Unlimited Adventures.
Finally, Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection Three has Dungeon Hack and Menzoberranzan.
"The quest for Forgotten Realms: The Archives was a gruelling, perilous journey," said Oleg Klapovsky, GOG's VP of business development and operations.
"The rights were literally scattered across the world ... it took several years of searching and dead ends to round them all up."
To celebrate, GOG is offering ten additional D&D classics for sale at up to 80 percent off. The games include Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate, and Neverwinter Nights. This offer ends on August 25.
GOG is a platform owned by Polish studio CD Projekt Red, developer of The Witcher series. In the lead up to the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a client called GOG Galaxy was launched to co-exist with the website.
GOG Galaxy replicates some of the features offered through Steam, such as automatic updates, chat, and achievements, but also offers users the ability to play all of their games offline without any online activations required.
