    Sony made a power move this week when it announced that it's cutting the price of the PlayStation to $299 December 6-19. That's the prime holiday shopping season and the new, lower price point is for the Star Wars Battlefront and Uncharted bundles. Your move, Microsoft. [Full story]

    Speaking at the 2015 Game Awards this week, show host Geoff Keighley weighed in on the controversy involving his close friend, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima. He claimed that Konami lawyers advised Kojima not to attend the awards show, which drew loud boos from the crowd. [Full story]


    One-Hit Death Maniac


    Here's a new video for Mighty No. 9, the upcoming platformer from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. This video specifically provides a new look at new modes and more, including an ultra-difficult mode called One-Hit Death Maniac. [Watch it here]

    Starting December 6, Best Buy will launch a buy two, get the third free deal on all new PS4 and Xbox One games. Contrary to what the retailer's adscan says, this promo does work with Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront. [Full story]

    Looking for Beyond: Two Souls 2? Sorry, it's probably not going to happen. David Cage explains that Quantic Dream has "no plan at the moment" to make a seque. Instead of making sequels, the studio enjoys the "excitement of new risks" such as its new PS4 game, Detroit: Become Human. [Full story]

    The Green Bay Packers are not playing so well lately--and video games might be to blame. The team reportedly had a players-only meeting recently during which Aaron Rodgers voiced his concerns that some younger players might be focusing too much on gaming instead of preparing for their on-field jobs.     Fall of Reach Comes to New Markets

    This War of Mine: Little Ones is coming to Xbox One and PS4 very soon, developer 11bit has announced. It'll be out on new-generation consoles in January. The first footage of the PS4 edition has also been released. Watch it here.


    Frozen Shadows


    Endless running game Temple Run 2 gets its biggest expansion ever this week in the form of a free update called Frozen Shadows. The game's already been download 1 billion times and this icy-themed expansion is sure to boost that figure higher and draw back in lapsed players. It's out now for iOS and Android devices.

    GamesTM has a great interview with J. Allard, one of the principal designers and directors of the Xbox 360. The console celebrated its 10th anniversary recently, and this interview dives deep into the console's origins, legacy, and more. It's a good read.
