Xbox Live Encountering Issues on Xbox One, 360
Xbox Live users are experiencing a variety of issues right now across all platforms, Microsoft has confirmed.
The Xbox Live Support Twitter account and service status page indicate that several aspects of Live are having issues. For one, Live's "Core Services" aren't working properly--that includes signing in and managing Xbox Live subscriptions. The "Purchase and Content Usage" service is also affected, which could present issues with game invites, notifications, purchasing content, and playing games or other things you own.
Both of these issues are accompanied by the standard text indicating it's being worked on. "We are aware of these issues and are working to get it fixed ASAP!" the service status page reads. "Thank you for being patient while we work. We’ll post another update when more information becomes available."
