  • See First Screenshots for Bayonetta Dev's Rumored Cel-Shaded TMNT Game

Though it remains officially unannounced, the evidence for a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game from Bayonetta developer Platinum Games and Activision continues to mount. The latest evidence is a batch of screenshots for the cel-shaded game supplied by a source to PureXbox.
Image credit: PureXboxAccording to a ratings board listing, the game is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.
The cel-shaded graphics shown in the leaked images (see them all here at PureXbox) match up with the visual style of Platinum's 2015 game Transformers: Devastation. On display in the images are Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo bringing the pain to some bad guys in a variety of settings.
These images aren't the only elements of Mutants in Manhattan to have leaked. Earlier this month, the game's achievement list emerged, despite the game still being unannounced. As such, we also don't know anything yet about platforms and a release date.
We'll have all the details on Mutants in Manhattan as they're made available.
The last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game was released in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PC by Activision, with a PS3 version released in 2014. The game, titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, was developed by Red Fly Studio and only released digitally. It was critically panned in GameSpot's review, scoring a three out of ten for its game-breaking glitches and poor camera system.
Platinum Games is well known for its experience working on several action games, including the critically acclaimed Bayonetta 2, as well as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The studio is currently developing the upcoming Star Fox Zero, Nier: Automata, and Xbox One-exclusive Scalebound.
