  • Captain Phasma - Star Wars Elite Die Cast Action Figure

Disney Store has an exclusive line of Star Wars action figures--the Elite Series. What makes these figures different from the Black Series by Hasbro is they're die cast metal.
We decided to take a look at the Captain Phasma figure.

The figure stands at 7 1/4" and includes a base and gun.

The metal really works on this figure. It gives it a nice look. It's easier to capture the look of the character from the movie compared to the other figures with their faces revealed like Rey and Finn.

Despite being die cast, there is some articulation. You can bend the arms at the elbows for different poses.

The figure also has articulation at the wrists that allow you to rotate them.

Captain Phasma wore a cape in the Force Awakens and the figure comes with a molded one. Molded capes sometimes look a little cheap or awkward, but it's molded in a nice position that allows for a more dramatic look.

There is a little square that can be seen on the back of the cape. Is it a pocket? I haven't heard or read why this detail would be added to the figure.

Phasma's armor looks like a typical Stormtrooper's besides the chrome finish. She must have all sorts of goodies in her pouches and compartments.

Here's a look at the figure from the other side.

There is some slight articulation in the neck. You can move the head a little left or right and down.

The figures each have a Star Wars base with one peg that fits into a hole on the bottom of a foot.

There is also a tiny bit of articulation in the legs and ankles. This is about as high as her leg goes.

I also have a Flametrooper figure, and a regular First Order Stormtrooper is available if you want her to have a squad to command.

What's nice about the figure is it looks really good and has a retail price of about twenty-five dollars. The plastic Black Series figures go for close to twenty so there's not too much of a price difference.

You can't really see it from the front but the figure does have a thermal detonator on her back like regular Stormtroopers.

With the convenient size and reasonable price, the figure will make a great addition to your personal collection. It'll also look cool sitting on a shelf or on your desk.
Let us know what you think of the design of this figure.
