  • Call of Duty XP 2016 Convention Announced, Dates Revealed

Activision announced today that the Call of Duty XP convention will take place this September in Inglewood, California. People will be able to go hands-on with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered, and Black Ops 3.
Infinite Warfare's Multiplayer and Zombies modes will both be available for attendees to play, in addition to Modern Warfare Remastered's multiplayer and Black Ops 3's fourth DLC pack. Attendees will also be able to take part in other activities like Nuketown paintball, Zombies laser tag, and an exclusive PlayStation VR experience.
The event will also play host to the Call of Duty World League Championship, in which 32 teams from around the world will compete for a $2 million prize pool, the largest in Call of Duty Championship history. If you're not into esports, there's some other stuff you be able to take part in, too.
The last time Activision held a Call of Duty XP event was 2011, leading up to the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Both the Dropkick Murphys and Kanye West performed at the event. No music performances have been confirmed for the event, but the announcement video does tease a "surprise musical guest."

It's also been confirmed that maps will be set on other planets. The Zombies mode was teased in an image released during a livestream. We don't know much about it, other than the fact that it will have a unique storyline and new features and mechanics.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare releases for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered won't be available on its own. You'll have to spend extra money and purchase one of Infinite Warfare's bundles--the $80 Legacy Edition, the $100 Digital Deluxe Edition, or the $120 Legacy Pro Edition.
