    Falling Titans

The latest E3 2016 trailers for Titanfall 2 showcase a lot of fascinating new details about the upcoming first-person shooter's single-player and multiplayer components. From new titans to mid-air grapple hook takedowns, there's a lot to exciting new stuff to see. Check out all the things we noticed.
For more on Titanfall 2, check out all the news from EA's E3 2016 press conference.

    New Titan: BT-7274 aka "B.T."

Titanfall 2's story focuses on an A.I. controlled Titan model named BT-7274. The trailer's dialogue indicates that its original pilot was killed-in-action during an important mission, and that its new pilot Jack Cooper was chosen as a result of there being "no other options."
In addition, B.T. revealed its A.I. protocols in order of importance: link with the pilot, uphold the mission, and protect the pilot.

    Main Protagonist: Jack Cooper

Jack Cooper is Titanfall 2's main character and the current pilot of BT-7274. As of writing, not much is known about his background or what his motivations are in the game's story.

    Local Wildlife

It looks like you'll be dealing with the local wildlife in Titanfall 2's single-player campaign. A reptilian creature can be seen briefly in the trailer, before being attacked by a flying creature reminiscent to the species seen in Titanfall 1's Boneyard map.

    Discarding Scrapped Spectres

A soldier is seen casting a Spectre-like robot into a pit; however, the reason why is unclear. In the background, there appears to have been a conflict of some sort resulting in a multitude of lifeless robots, but what's peculiar is how none of them show visible signs of damage. Did the soldiers deactivate them? Or was there a more heinous plot in motion?

    A Chance Encounter

Cooper seems to be involved in the story's conflict due a chance encounter with B.T. and its original pilot. The shot above shows Cooper kneeling over the pilot's corpse. Could it be the pilot told him something before passing away? Is that why Cooper became B.T's pilot? These are questions we're eager to find the answers to soon.

    Aggressive Titans

Compared to its predecessor, Titans look to be more agile and aggressive. One shot featured a Titan kicking an enemy, and then quickly spinning into a kneeling position to open fire upon the its abdomen.

    A New Titan Class?

There appears to be a new Titan class of some kind with a frame that looks like a bulkier version of the Stryder Titan class. It can be seen above armed with a lightweight machine gun.

    Insect Drones

A number of insect-like drones can be seen crawling around in various shots of the trailer. These are most likely an enemy type you'll encounter during the single-player campaign.

    Stryder Blade

A Stryder Titan class model is seen brandishing a blade charged with electricity, which it uses to slice an enemy and deliver a final killing blow against an enemy Titan. In addition, the blade appears to be capable of deflecting enemy bullets.

    A Titanball Special

The final shot of Titanfall 2's single-player trailer shows B.T. throwing Cooper at a wall off in the distance, so he can wallrun to a new location. While it's unclear whether or not you can pull off this maneuver on the fly, we're hoping hoping that it happens at least more than once in the single-player campaign.

    Firewave

It seems like your Titan is capable of launching a deadly wave of fire towards enemies upon smashing its hands on the ground. This might prove to be a useful tactic when you're in a pinch and need to attack quickly after getting inside your Titan.

    Vortex Throwing Knife

A throwing knife-like weapon appears in the trailer; it has the ability to spawn a small vortex that sucks enemies in, providing you an opportune moment to pick them off as they helplessly float in the air.

    Grappling Hook

Respawn Entertainment is expanding player maneuverability in Titfanfall 2 with the grapple hook, which you can use to reach tall buildings or wall running points. It could prove useful for flanking enemies or reaching important vantage points.

    Grapple Hook Takedown

While the grapple hook can be used to maneuver through your environment quickly, it can also be used against enemies. The final moments of the multiplayer trailer showcased the ability to latch your hook onto enemies and pull yourself toward them for a swift mid-air takedown.
