  • Skyrim VR On PC To Surprisingly Support Oculus Rift

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR is coming to PC on April 3. The open-world RPG as made even more immersive is now available for pre-purchase on Steam. It will be available April 3 and includes all three add-ons for $60: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.
Skyrim VR released on PlayStation VR last year, and while we thought that the the virtual reality aspect certainly helped immersion, we also found it poorly optimized for Move controllers and still laden with the same bugs and technical oddities that have haunted it since its initial release.
Skyrim VR will work with HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, and Oculus Rift. What makes that especially notable is the legal battle and ensuing bad blood between their two parent companies. ZeniMax, parent company of Bethesda, won a suit against Facebook last year alleging that John Carmack had taken code and plans with him when he left the company. That legal feud was interpreted as one possible reason why Fallout VR did not natively support the Rift.
