  • Jeff Hardy's DWI Arrest Could Derail Potential WWE WrestleMania Return

Though Jeff Hardy hasn't appeared on WWE programming since September due to injury, many fans believed the former WWE World Champion would return to the company before WrestleMania 34 in April. Now, though, there is a more pressing issue.
As reported by CBS Sports, Hardy was arrested on Saturday, March 10, and charged with driving while impaired after crashing his car in North Carolina. According to the report, the wrestler's license has been suspended for 30 days.
The arrest report notes that Hardy allegedly "ran off the road" and struck a guardrail, causing $8,000 in damage to the car and $5,000 in damage to the guardrail. WWE responded to the incident with a statement, reading, "Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials."
Interestingly, PWInsider reports that Hardy made a cameo in the upcoming "Ultimate Deletion" match between "Woken" Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt. The match was filmed at Matt Hardy's home in North Carolina, much like the Delete or Decay and Final Deletion segments that were taped for Impact Wrestling in 2016. It remains unclear whether the cameo will be removed from the match or if Hardy will return to WWE in time to take part in WrestleMania.
