  • Marvel's New Superhero Movie, Captain Marvel, Has Finished Filming

Marvel's next big superhero movie, Captain Marvel, has finished filming. Actress Brie Larson, who plays Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel tweeted a picture of a clapperboard that showed July 6 as the final day of filming. There may be reshoots, but this is a significant milestone in the production of the film, which is due in theatres in March 2019.
The clapperboard is decorated with signatures and other images. Given it's a Marvel movie, there may be some secrets to be found; let us know in the comments if you have spotted anything noteworthy. Larson did not attach any caption to the image.

As Deadline explains, Marvel Studios won't have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con this month, so it could be some time before we learn more about Captain Marvel. What we do know is that it's set in the '90s and follows Danvers' path from Air Force pilot to superhero after he DNA gets fused with an alien by accident.
Captain Marvel is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. In addition to Oscar-winner Larson, the film stars Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, and Ben Mendelsohn.
The penultimate film in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel follows Ant-Man and the Wasp and precedes the Avengers: Infinity War sequel in 2019. Marvel has yet to release a trailer or share any further details on Captain Marvel, though the character was referenced during Infinity War.
