Sci-fi horror Dead Space 3 has charged to the top of the UK all-format chart, albeit with 26.6 per cent fewer sales than its predecessor. Dead Space 2 launched two years ago in a similar post-Christmas slot. Publisher EA clearly hoped to grow the franchise this time around, but has faced criticism for the game's micro-transactions, aggressive DLC release schedule and drift into more action-focused territory.
PlayStation 3-exclusive Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, last week's top dog, fell to sixth place.
