The opening minute of The Last of Us' only announced story-based DLC, Left Behind, has been shown off in a video exclusive to IGN (Light spoilers, obv.).Like The Last of Us proper, Left Behind begins with the image of a sleeping girl. This time out it's everybody's favourite precocious companion Ellie, as she's startled awake by her friend Riley, who's snuck into her bedroom pretending to be infected. Probably not a good idea as it turns out Ellie sleeps with a knife under her pillow for just such occasions. Luckily the gag gets sorted before anyone gets murdered, and Ellie comments that it's been a long time since the girls have seen each other. "46 days," Riley specifies.
Ashley Johnson, the actress who played Ellie, explained on the PlayStation Blog that "You'll definitely see a more playful side to Ellie and get to know her a bit better. You're going to see a lot of different sides to the character that you definitely didn't see in The Last of Us."
