  • Classic PC Series Gabriel Knight Returns October 15 With 20th Anniversary Edition

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition will launch on October 15 for PC and Mac, developer Phoenix Online Studios has announced. A remake of the the classic Sierra On-Line game created by Jane Jensen, the updated version features new puzzles and scenes, as well as better visuals and a remastered soundtrack.
The bundle also includes behind-the-scenes content, including concept sketches and audio interviews with Jensen and members of the original development team.

Preorders for the 20th Anniversary Edition are now available on Steam, GOG, and the Phoenix Online Store. The game will sell for $20 at launch, but you can get the game for $17 if you pre-buy it. Preorders also come with a 20th Anniversary Edition soundtrack for free.
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father was originally released in 1993. You play as struggling author and bookstore owner Gabriel Knight, investigating ritualistic killings in New Orleans.
To mark the game's release, Phoenix Online Studios will kick off a "10 Days of Gabriel Knight" countdown event on October 6 where the developer will release new assets every day until release on October 15. This will include screenshots, cutscenes, music, and even a new Gabriel Knight short story. This will represent the first new entry in Gabriel Knight canon since 1998.
Just last month, Sierra Games--under the banner of Activision--returned to operation. The company's first two games will be a new King's Quest and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions. Gabriel Knight's 20th Anniversary Edition will be published by Jensen's Pinkerton Road company through a licensing arrangement with Activision.
