Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed that Nintendo isn't planning on developing any paid DLC for the popular 3DS and Wii U brawler."What I can say now about paid DLC is that we aren't working on anything at the moment," Sakurai confirmed in an interview with Videogamer. "We've put all our efforts into making the actual game. Creating DLC would involve large additional costs and require the involvement of a lot of people. I can't yet give you an answer about whether the price would justify the costs."
Beyond the cost in time, effort and money, Sakurai is weary of the message DLC sends to players. He's worried players will feel cheated by not getting post-release content that they feel should have been included at launch.
