Turtle Rock Studios has released a new patch for monster-hunting game Evolve that promises to fix a lost progress issue, improve matchmaking, and clear out a bug that led to five-player teams. The patch is available across all platforms, though the majority of issues and tweaks apply to the Xbox One edition.
Evolve Patch 1.1:
Publisher 2K Games explains that the Xbox One lost progress issue was "mostly" limited to Xbox One and was rare, affecting "only a small percentage of players."
Evolve patch 1.1 should download automatically the next time players load the game. Anyone who continues to encounter issues after the patch is encouraged to reach out to 2K.
Launched February 20 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, Evolve is a new IP from the creators of the Left 4 Dead series. 2K Games parent company Take-Two Interactive acquired Evolve for $10.9 million during THQ's bankruptcy auction in 2013.
While sales for Evolve have not been announced, Turtle Rock recently released an infographic that revealed players logged nearly 6 million matches during the game's first week.
