Not a Hero, the 2D cover-shooting shmup by OlliOlli developer roll7, now has a demo on Steam.Due on 7th May for PC, Not a Hero pre-orders are currently 10 per cent off at £8.99 / $11.69 and come with a free copy of OlliOlli.
Our Martin Robinson described roll7's latest as "a 2D Vanquish with a hipster bounce" in his positive Not a Hero impressions. Based on my time with the demo, that sounds about right. It has Vanquish's penchant for sliding, ducking behind cover, and brutal melee finishers, but it also has the quick breeziness and day-glo aesthetic that made Hotline Miami such a compelling jaunt.
