  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens Star Joins Peter Rabbit Movie's Cast

Daisy Ridley is the star of the current Star Wars trilogy, and now Variety reports that she's joined the cast of the upcoming live-action/animated film Peter Rabbit. She'll appear alongside Elizabeth Debicki (Macbeth), Rose Byrne (X-Men: Apocalypse), and James Corden (Into the Woods).
It's not yet known what Ridley's role will be in Peter Rabbit, but we'll keep you updated as more information is made available. Corden voices the titular rabbit, while Byrne stars as Bea in a live-action role. Debicki's role is not known either.
Peter Rabbit is helmed by Will Gluck, who has directed films such as Friends with Benefits and Easy A. Additionally, the animation and visual effects studio responsible for The Lego Movie is on board. Peter Rabbit starts production in January next year, and it opens worldwide in April 2018.
We'll see Ridley next in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Not much is known about the Force Awakens sequel, but the actors and director have shared some details on what the film will be like. Ridley and John Boyega both said the film will be "darker."
"It's a different take--darker, bigger," Boyega told Variety. "Someone will say: 'How do you get bigger than Force Awakens?' But it's crazy."
Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters December 15, 2017.
