  • Warcraft Movie Is the "World's Most Unskippable Cutscene," According to "Honest Trail

Screen Junkies today published its "Honest Trailer" for the Warcraft movie and it does not hold back in roasting the video game film.
Featuring commentary from MatPat of Game Theory, the trailer calls Warcraft "the film that changed the world's expectations of video game movies...from crappy-looking low-budget messes to gorgeous-looking high-budget messes." It also describes Warcraft as the "world's most expensive unskippable cutscene." Here's the trailer:
Director Duncan Jones has said he would like to return to the Warcraft franchise, as he has ideas for a trilogy. Whether or not he gets to make a second film will depend on how well the first one does. It wrapped up its box office run with more than $430 million worldwide, the bulk of which came from international markets. Earlier this month, the film was released Blu-ray/DVD, as well as digital channels.
Although Warcraft, which had a reported budget of $160 million before marketing, is projected to ultimately be a money-loser, a sequel could still happen.
Jones is now working on his lower-budget sci-fi movie, Mute, which sounds pretty cool.
