  • Best Stuff in Comics This Week

Every week, we take a look at some of the most bizarre, exciting, and downright unique things to happen in comics. Check out our choices for the strange and wacky things that shouldn't be overlooked from this week's releases.
There may be some tiny spoilers ahead.

    Green Arrow #12

Best Fan Argument Over Green Arrow and Batman
Green Arrow has received some bad press in the media lately. Despite this, he still has some fans due to the heroic deeds he's done. During a news report, two superhero mega-fans discuss the difference between the Emerald Archer and the Dark Knight.

    Nova #1

Best Breakfast Cereal in the Marvel Universe
It seems the Thing has been busy licensing himself off for different food products. A couple months ago in The Astonishing Ant-Man #13, we saw a vending machine with his face and the slogan, "It's Snacking Time!" Here, we see him on a box of The Thing's Mega Crunch cereal.

    Nova #1

Best Reason to Have Extra Clothes if You're a Superhero
One of the biggest problems superheroes face is changing back and forth into their civilian guise. Sam Alexander has been to the far reaches of space and returns home in time for school. Removing his Nova Corps helmet, he realized he wasn't wearing normal clothes. At least he had on underwear.

    Nova #1

    Strangest Daydream at School
Sam just met a new student at school. He's immediately smitten with her but is having difficulty figuring out how to carry a causal conversation. He thinks about how it'd be easier fighting supervillains instead of trying to talk to a cute girl.

    Batman #12

Best New Insight into Batman's Psyche
We all know the story of how young Bruce Wayne witnessed the murder of his parents. The experience lead to his decision to dedicate his life to fighting crime. What's revealed here is Bruce didn't always have the easiest time getting over the trauma. There was a point when he felt it was too much to take. The title of the arc, "I Am Suicide," takes on a new meaning.

    All-New Wolverine #15

Last Thing You'd Want to Hear About the Original Wolverine
Laura and Gabby have enlisted the aide of an old friend of Logan's to get out of the country. The lady makes a comment about Logan's abilities in a certain area. That's something no one really wants to hear or think about.

    Harley Quinn #9

    Strangest Dream
Harley is visiting a friend and tells him about a recent dream she had. It's obviously inspired by The Wizard of Oz but is still pretty bizarre with the familiar characters placed into the different roles.

Wonder Woman '77 Meets the Bionic Woman #1

    Best Superman: The Movie Reference
Wonder Woman and the Bionic Woman are both on the scene when an explosion traps people inside a building. Jaime Sommers jumps up and carries a woman to safety. As Sommers jumps out the window, she's asked, "You've got me? Who's got you?"

    Avengers #2

    Biggest Difficulty with Time Travel
When dealing with time travel, a big problem is time conjugation. When you've dealt with people in your past or will deal with them in their future, it becomes difficult to have a conversation.

    Justice League #10

Best Reason to Keep Energy Drinks in Your Fridge
The Justice League are searching for someone responsible for hacking into their networks and unleashing havoc. They visit a former hacker's house, and he offers them a beverage. Flash jumps at the chance to have an energy drink. You never know when the League might pay a visit to your house.

    Deadpool #23

    Best Goonies Reference
Deadpool and Preston are trying to find the cure to a deadly virus. They suspect Agent Adsit may have unwillingly become the host to Madcap. Deadpool insists he lift his shirt to show the villain embedded in his stomach and orders him to do the Truffle Shuffle.

    The Flintstones #6

Best Reason to Be Thankful You Don't Live in the Stone Age
Fred and Wilma are at the mall in Bedrock. We see various stores and restaurants such as Panda Excess. Eating a prehistoric panda just doesn't seem right.

That's it this week. Let us know in the comments below what other Best Stuff you dug this past week.
