A new IMAX trailer for Universal's The Mummy reboot had a big problem: no sound effects for the first half of it. IMAX quickly realized its mistake and yanked the trailer, but of course, it lives on thanks to the internet being the internet.
Amazingly, the first part of the trailer (via The Verge) only features the actors' voices. Missing from action-heavy trailer are the sounds of the swarm of birds that crash into the plane and the ensuing crash sequence that should be a lot louder. In all the mayhem, all you can hear is Tom Cruise's screaming into a vacuum as the plane goes down. It's all very good, but a standout sequence is when co-star Annabelle Wallis gets ripped from the plane by her parachute at around 1:08-1:14.

The Mummy is set for a June 2017 release, and is directed by Alex Kurtzman, who co-wrote the first two Star Trek movies in the current reboot series. It also stars Jake Johnson (Jurassic World) and Russell Crowe as Dr Jekyll.
The story sees an ancient princess (played by Sofia Boutella from Star Trek Beyond) awoken and brought to life in the current day. She brings with her a level of "malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension," according to the movie's official description.
Here's what she looks like:
The Mummy will be the first of Universal's classic monster movie franchise. While it is the only film so far in this connected universe to be officially announced, we know that a Van Helsing movie is in development, and Crowe is expected to return for a standalone Jekyll and Hyde film.
It has also been reported that Johnny Depp could star in The Invisible Man. Other names that are reportedly in consideration for roles in the series are Dwayne Johnson and Javier Bardem, to play the Wolfman and Doctor Frankenstein respectively. Universal has scheduled further films for April 2018 and February 2019.
