Dreadline, an action RPG/RTS hybrid about a team of monsters going back in time to slaughter people before they would die anyway from natural disasters, has arrived on Kickstarter via new Boston-based studio Eerie Canal.Though this is Eerie Canal's first game, the studio was founded by industry vets Bryn Bennett and Steve Kimura who have worked on such titles as BioShock, System Shock 2, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Freedom Force: The Third Reich among numerous other titles.
The story revolves around an 8-year old boy who wears a sheet over his head and thinks he's a ghost. It's hard to blame him when his best friends are all monsters, so together the crew decides to take the more ethical approach to mass murder and slaughter those who are about to meet their maker anyway on say, the Titanic. It sounds a bit like a violent, sadistic Where the Wild Things Are.
