Remember Red Baron, the World War 1 dogfighting game released in 1990? (If not, read Eurogamer's retrospective published in 2010.) Its creator has returned with a Kickstarter pitch for a new entry in the series.Damon Slye, who while at Dynamix created Red Baron for Sierra Entertainment, recently founded a new indie studio after picking up the long-forgotton rights to the series. That studio, Mad Otter Games, has just launched a Kickstarter for a new Red Baron that asks for $250,000.
The pitch video includes gameplay footage of this new Red Baron, which includes multiplayer. Mad Otter says it wants to take the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre popularised by the likes of League of Legends and Dota 2 "to the skies".
