Remember the PocketStation? It was an odd LCD peripheral for the original PlayStation that launched in 1999, exclusively in Japan.It was so popular in Japan that Sony execs delayed - and eventually cancelled - a Western release to satisfy demand in the company's home country.
Which is a shame, as the device offered monochrome mini-games that you could download from full PS1 titles such as Ape Escape, Grandia, Crash Bandicoot 3 and Ridge Racer Type 4.
