Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will make use of NFC toys

The upcoming Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. will support Nintendo's recently-announced NFC toy range.
That's according to Nintendo France boss Stephan Bole, who confirmed the matter to French newspaper Le Figaro.
"E3 is also an opportunity to show the use of NFC technology in Nintendo consoles," he explained. "The NFC will be used in the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros."
