  • Next Halo: Master Chief Collection Patch Due This Week

343 Industries will release the latest patch for Xbox One shooter Halo: The Master Chief Collection sometime this week. The update aims to address the game's struggling matchmaking system, among other things, the developer writes on the game's website.
"The team continues development and testing of upcoming content updates, the next of which will specifically make improvements to the matchmaking system and flow," 343 said. "This particular update is on track for delivery this week. We will provide more details on the exact ETA, included fixes, and additional upcoming content updates in the near future."
The Master Chief Collection's matchmaking system has struggled, mightily at times, since the game's release on November 11. Microsoft has patched the game numerous times, though issues around long wait times and uneven teams still persist for many.
Microsoft and 343 have repeatedly apologized for the state of the game, pledging to make things right in time. The game's issues have even led top Microsoft gaming boss, Phil Spencer, to speak out and address the problems with his own personal statements.
