Destiny's Most Popular Weapons Revealed

In addition to sharing details about a major Destiny patch, developer Bungie used its latest Weekly Update to reveal lists of the most popular weapons in the sci-fi shooter. For veterans and newcomers alike, the top gun is the Vision of Confluence, a high-powered Legendary scout rifle.
"Weapon use in Destiny is pretty diverse and follows a very fat 'long tail' distribution," Bungie said. "The guns on these lists are indeed awesome but a lot of players are finding that other, more obscure weapons better fit their tactical needs or their personal play styles. Besides, punching all of the aliens in the face is obviously the correct way to play Destiny anyway."
Bungie released a handful of lists, each of which examines the popularity of weapons for Destiny veterans, newcomers, and the top Crucible players. The first list, which you can see directly below, shows the top ten weapons for the past two weeks across all Destiny game modes for players ranked 20 or above. The other lists are featured further down in this post.
