Microsoft's standard Xbox One controller is one of the most comfortable around, so it was something of a surprise when the company announced that it had a new version of its pad in development.But if you hadn't worked it out from Xbox Elite Wireless Controller's eye-watering $149 price tag, this controller design is not meant for the majority of players. (Microsoft has not yet announced an official UK RRP, but the US price converts to around £95).
So why bother? This play for the pro gaming sector may well be designed to tempt gaming's elite players to Xbox before the end of this console generation, but what about the rest of us - is it worth the cash?
