Frenetic twin-stick shooter Assault Android Cactus has finally left Early Access for an official release on PC, Mac and Linux.Developed by folks who previously worked on L.A. Noire, Alien: Isolation, and Need for Speed at the Brisbane-based studio Witch Beam, Assault Android Cactus may not sound that unique on paper, as twin-stick shooters are rather common these days, but seeing it in motion certainly recalls the glorious highlights of Housemarque's Super Stardust series.
Up to four players can play co-op wherein they choose between nine playable characters tackling 25 stages. The stages morph and dynamically introduce new challenges too, so it's not simply rote memorisation here.
