  • Iron Man Mark XXV Sixth Scale Figure From Hot Toys

The latest Iron Man 1:6 scale figure from Hot Toys is now available. As seen in Iron Man 3, this is the Mark XXV armor. It's also known as the Heavy Construction Suit and is equipped with two pneumatic hammers.
You can find more information and order the figure at Sideshow Collectibles' website.

Hot Toys always makes the the packaging look elegant. You may recall the "House Party Protocol" line from the movie.

The figure includes a stand (that does not light up) with a flexible pole for display.

The figure uses a lot of batteries (included) for the LED lights. The top panel on the head can be removed and you can easily turn on the lights for the helmet.

There is another switch under a plate on the back to turn on the chest light.

The pneumatic hammers on the arms look weird at first, but after positioning the figure, you come to appreciate how massive and impressive they look.

There is a little removable piece under the repulsors. These lights seem really bright compared to the others.

Yellow and gray may look weird for an Iron Man suit, but the distress paint on the figure looks really cool. It does look like it's been doing some heavy construction.

There are some air flaps on the back you can flip open to add to the look of the figure when on display.

The hammers are spring loaded. You can easily push them in and press the top to have them return to the extended position.

The suit is meant to be for construction but in Tony Stark's life, any suit could be called into and used for combat.

The hammers can be removed. It should also be noted that there are over thirty points of articulation included each of the fingers.

It's easy to miss the minute details. They did an amazing job on the paint.

It looks like there's a ton of different plates and pieces around the feet and ankle. The figure is a little bulky but there are still a lot of articulation and ways to position it.

The 'toe articulation' really works here. On other figures it makes the foot look like it's cracked in half. With the armor, it just looks like the pieces are made to slide to allow the foot to bend.

You can't move the head left or right. You can only move it up and down. You can pull the figure's waist up a little bit to allow it to twist for a different position.

Here's a shot in the dark to get a better idea how bright the LED lights are.

I wasn't really sure what to think of the figure at first, but after getting my hands on it, it is a pretty impressive design. If you have other Iron Man armors in your collection, this one will look great alongside them.
