  • Deadpool's Most Gruesome Moments

Deadpool may be known for his comedy, but there's something else the Marvel character is known for: the violence. Throughout the 25 years this character has been around, he's been mangled, decapitated, and cut up numerous times. It's time to take a look at some of the most gruesome things that have happened to the character over the years.
To start off, here's a softball moment, in Deadpool vs Carnage #3, Deadpool gets hit by a semi-truck which results in his insides quickly becoming his outsides.

Deadpool is quite the handy fellow, pun completely intended. While being captured in Deadpool #900, Deadpool chewed off his arm and threw it and someone, in order to punch him in the face. The actual act of chewing happened completely off panel, but we still get to see it fly towards his captor in all its glory.

In the years Deadpool has been hunting people down, he's come across quite a few people who have chopped his head off. In Deadpool #900, both Wolverine and Bullseye pop his head off with ease, showing that both heroes and villains want the Merc with a Mouth dead.

In the mini-series Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, Deadpool took on everyone and killed them all, much like the title of the book suggests. In issue #1, he quickly learns you don't mess with Invisible Woman, as she uses her powers to explode his head like a zit. Gross.

Deadpool continued killing off everyone's favorite heroes in Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe #2, where he came across the Hulk. It's clear to see that Hulk had his way with Deadpool, literally ripping him limb from limb. Don't worry, he'll be fine.

One of the weirder grotesque moments from Deadpool's past comes from Deadpool Killustrated #1. While wandering around, Deadpool is stabbed through the chest with a pole by fictional character Don Quixote. Yes, things have gotten that weird in Deadpool comics. Quixote probably assumed Deadpool was a windmill.

If you thought Deadpool killing off the Marvel universe has some great moments, then you need to check out Deadpool Kills Deadpool. In issue #1, the villain of the story, known as Evil Deadpool, puts Zombie Deadpool's head in the microwave and it explodes.

In Deadpool Kills Deadpool #1, the real Deadpool gets stabbed with a dual-functioning weapon, a sword with a chainsaw on it. This was an insanely vicious moment from the issue, but it would have been even cooler if it also had a gun on it.

The last moment from Deadpool Kills Deadpool, comes from issue #2. Evil Deadpool whips out his gun and shoots Deadpool in the head. You think people would have figured out by now that a shot to the head doesn't kill Deadpool. Of course, Deadpool survived it.

More recently, Deadpool took on the ghosts of dead American Presidents. During that story, in Deadpool #2, an elephant gored Deadpool and it was insanely gruesome. His intestines exploded out of his chest making, it one of the most grotesque moments in his history.

From grotesque to weird, here's a moment that doesn't involve bodily harm to Deadpool. In Deadpool #1000, the Merc with a Mouth punched a cat. While it's not exactly through the cat's butt and out its mouth, this is easily one of the weirdest moments in the series as well.

Remember earlier when Deadpool chewed off his own arm and threw it at someone? Well, that kind of happened again. In Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #2, Deadpool gets his arm chopped off and then he proceeds to use it as a weapon, beating people with it and throwing it at the people he's fighting.

When are people going to learn you can't shoot Deadpool in the head? During a fight with the Punisher, in Deadpool: Suicide Kings #2, Deadpool gets his eye shot out, much like A Christmas Story. What's cool about this is that Deadpool also breaks the fourth wall during the fight, since he can see his own caption boxes.

In Deadpool #25, a seagull pooped on Deadpool. That's utterly disgusting, especially considering Deadpool was just trying to relax and enjoy the sun. The conclusion of this moment involves Deadpool shooting the seagull and point-blank range.

Modern Deadpool is a bit of a wacky character, almost cartoonish, so it made sense in Deadpool Team-Up #885 to see Deadpool have an anvil dropped on his head, like a Looney Tunes cartoon.

Finally, here's a moment from Uncanny X-Force #4. Deadpool takes care of a beaten down Archangel by feeding him by hand. What's so gruesome about that? Seems like Deadpool is just being a nice guy. Wait for it...

Deadpool is feeding Archangel pieces of his arm, which he's cutting off with a knife.
