  • Titanfall 2's Second Beta Live Now on PS4 and Xbox One, Here's How to Download It

The second multiplayer beta for Titanfall 2 is available now across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As announced previously, the pre-release testing period runs until Sunday, August 28.
Titanfall 2's first beta, or "multiplayer tech test" as Respawn calls it, was held last weekend. The second beta has a new map and mode, while the level cap was also increased. Check out the full patch notes here to see a complete breakdown of what's changed for the second weekend.

One of the goals of these technical tests is to stress Respawn's servers. The company has already gathered valuable data on this front but wants to push them even harder by ensuring as many people play at the same time as possible. To accomplish this, it will award a special callsign (pictured above) to players who play on Saturday from 9-10 AM PT or 4-5 PM. If you can't play then--or if you're a PC player, in which case you don't have access--this will also be handed out to those who play on launch day.
The Titanfall 2 beta is held only on console; you can read Respawn's explanation for why it's not on PC here. The full game, however, is coming to all three platforms when it arrives on October 28.
