  • Medieval RPG "Kingdom Come" Signs Publishing Deal With Dead Island Studio

The upcoming no-magic Medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be co-published by Saints Row and Dead Island publisher Deep Silver, it was announced today.
In a statement, Kingdom Come developer Warhorse CEO Martin Fryvaldsky said partnering with Deep Silver will allow the game to reach more players. "Our best competence is to create an outstanding game," he said. "With Koch Media (owner of Deep Silver) as a strong partner we will now have the chance to reach an even wider audience."
Deep Silver will publish Kingdom Come's physical and digital versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the physical PC edition. Warhorse, meanwhile, will publish the game's digital PC version. All versions of Kingdom Come will launch on the same date in 2017, though it has not been announced.
Kingdom Come, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2014, raising $1.8 million. The single-player game is set in 1403 Bohemia. One of its most unique parts is that it does not include fantasy elements such as dragons or magic like other popular Medieval RPGs often do.
Overall, it aims to to blend elements of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Witcher, and Red Dead Redemption. Leading development on the game is Daniel Vavra, who co-created the Mafia franchise.
