  • Battlefield 1's Xbox One/PC Early Access Available Now, a Day Early

If you're an EA or Origin Access member, it seems you can start playing Battlefield 1 on Xbox One or PC right now.
Early access to the game was scheduled to begin for Access members tomorrow, October 13. EA has not yet officially announced any change--and is still promoting a launch tomorrow on places like Twitter--but we've verified reports that it's possible to begin downloading the game now. Once it's done, you can begin playing.
As announced last month, the Play First Trial for Battlefield 1 is a bit different than those ordinarily offered through EA Access. Whereas you'd normally receive the complete game but only have a limited amount of time with it, Battlefield 1's trial is both time- and content-restricted. Access members get 10 hours with a version of the game that includes two missions from the single player and four modes and five maps for multiplayer. Progress made during the trial carries over to the full game.
Another round of early access begins on October 18 for those who purchase the Early Enlister Deluxe edition of Battlefield 1. Once that happens, the full game will be unlocked. If Access members haven't already used all of their playtime by then, they'll be able to access everything using their remaining time. Using up all 10 hours of trial time before October 20 will net Access members a free Battlepack in the full game.
