  • Nintendo President Teases Switch Add-Ons and Further Reveals

Following the recent unveiling of the Switch, Nintendo's president, Tatsumi Kimishima, has now discussed the new console publicly for the first time.
Speaking with Bloomberg, he indicated that last week's announcement video didn't spill the beans on everything Switch has in store. "By no means was that everything," he said of the video.
More interestingly, he also hinted at more extensive hardware plans than what was shown in the trailer. "It may be appropriate to call them accessories," Kimishima said. "Or it might be better to call them add-on hardware. It's probably more correct to call them accessories. You can assume that there will be a wider array."
It's unclear exactly what he's referring to. He could be talking about alternatives to the system's Joy-Con controllers, which is a possibility that some have been excitedly contemplating for a week. The idea has spawned fan-made images showing part of a GameCube controller in place of the Joy-Cons for playing Super Smash Bros., for instance. Others have imagined game-specific controller attachments.[INDENT]@sprsk
