Ninja Theory's upcoming viking action game about mental disorders, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, has been pushed back to 2017.The developer noted in an update video that the studio had a project cancelled earlier this year and that negatively affected the team's progress. Furthermore, Ninja theory took time away to collaborate with Epic Games on some truly stunning motion-capture technology, some of which will be used in Hellblade.
Ninja Theory further stated that it's developing Hellblade independently of a publisher to assume more creative control over this more intimate, personal project. As such, it can take its time in really getting it right before shipping.
