The CEA (Consumer Electronics Association), who organizes the world’s largest gadget-fest known as CES, has announced that over 20,000 products will be on display from over 3,000 exhibitors at this year’s trade show. The annual event will run from January 8th-11th 2013 in Las Vegas, and over 150,000 attendees are expected to pass through the massive Las Vegas Convention Center.
Tablets, smartphones, and 3D were the main themes of last year’s event, but this year will likely mix it up a bit. According to CNET, tablets and phones repurposed as control-hub devices will be pushed even harder than before, and 3D, despite its flaws, will continue to trend upwards. Windows 8 hardware on tablets and hybrid devices are also expected to be on display, along with countless HD TV’s with ever evolving cloud connected internals.
So far we haven’t heard of anything overly revolutionary, but I suppose only time will tell.
