Ever thougt of getting your own BIA server ?

Greetings BIA,

Firstly, let me say how much I enjoy playing against your clan on HP2.

I've been playing online games for a number of years but I would like to say that I have never had so much fun as playing RTCW on HP2. Its been a ball. Though one wonders how much longer it can last.

The thing that has impressed me the most has been you guys/girls code of ethics, not only as a clan but also as individuals, which for me being a non clan member has made the whole experience on online gaming so much more enjoyable. It is something that I really respect and you are all a credit to your Clan. Long my your Clan game.

What I was wondering though, has BIA ever thought of getting their own game server where BIA could battle the rest of the world ?

The reason that I ask this is that I noticed that HP1 is hosted of preygrounds.com and given the number of members your Clan has, the monthly cost to each member to run your own server would be miniscule.

If your are worried about ping time of preygrounds, I'm down here in Perth, Western Australia, which is about as far away as one can get from the host, short of the Antarctica, on a bog standard ADSL connection and pings run from 70~350~, depending on how many air strikes are taking place. Its quite playable from my end.

I for one, whilst not wanting to join you Clan, would be prepared to kick in a donation if the Clan had some sort of affiliates program for donations to meet server costs, and I wouldn't be expecting any preferable treatment as I prefer to remain relatively anonymous in my game play, and no, my name is not unstoppable.

It must be costing shitkicker something to run the servers and one can only wonder how longer his philanthropy can last.

Thanks for the post about the server. When this fine clan was started it was stated that there would be no dues. We have explored the possibility of having our own server several times. We have setup 6-8 player servers on our own individual connections but that doesn' last long. We may revisit this in the next couple of months but right now we won't be going down this road.

Take a look around [COI] Mr. Clubber has done a great job with this forum.

As i was in the clan, Haudenputz and myself started a intiave for starting a server. We was 80 members and 10 from this 80 members was willing to pay 3 or 4 Euro.
I think they want no own server.
It was very pitty.

By the way, John Doe was willing to pay 50% of the amount. This was very nice from him, i was proud to have such a loyal member in the clan.

I want to respond to this,

i also talked whit hans (john doe) about this and he still want's to pay for a bia , bob ,toak server and also i will to pay for it.
so if you guys and girls realy want our server whe all can do it i think.
also it's very hard to have a own server from your home .
i got a good connection and a good pc but it's still hard to do.

You are right, it is very hard.

But you will see, there are so many people who wants to pay.
Surely all from BoB, Toak. But BiA with 80 members..... that will be a desaster. If you get 20 members who wants to pay accurate, you are a hero.
