  • Razer Updates Orochi Mobile Gaming Mouse with 4G Sensor

Razer recognizes that mobile users are gamers too, and though there appears to be far less accessories available for gaming on the go, the category isn't being completely overlooked. Enter the Orochi Mobile Gaming Mouse, a dual-mode rodent that can communicate with your notebook via a wired connection or Bluetooth. Razer today announced a new version of the Orochi, one that brings an improved laser sensor and better battery life to the mobile scene.
The new model Orochi now sports a 6400 dpi 4G sensor, up from the 4000 dpi 3G sensor found on the original, which is now a few years old. It also bumps up to Bluetooth 3.0 from 2.0, and is powered by two AA batteries optimized for extended life. According to Razer, battery life is doubled compared to its predecessor, with up to 30 hours of continuous gameplay or three months of "conventional" use.
"We want our dedicated fans to keep the ability to game at the high level they demand when they leave their home," said Robert Krakoff, co-founder and president of Razer.. "Companies including Razer make mobile gaming laptops for that and, with those, there needs to be a mobile mouse solution. The Razer Orochi answers that need. We believe we’ve ushered in a new era of mobile gaming with the extreme performance and portability of our Blade laptop and Orochi gaming mouse."

The new Orochi is available now for $70 MSRP.
