yes sorry to say
but i think directx is the bad guy in this
i found a strange error and put my shoes on and walked out on the net for a little directx hunt
and omg..... i found out that i wasent alone in this
so what i did
format - install - directx 8.01a and i will NEWER change that again

so go in to start - run - dxdiag
and tell me what it says there

K i ran all test no-probs found?
gonna install a 2nd copy of rtcw see if that does it, as this is the only game i'm getting errors on, and i can live with what the errors are now.
