I've spent the weekend at my grandfathers taking care of him with family. He is home from the hospital (they cannot do anything more for him). So between work and being there I have zero game time. My other cousin Brad (voorhees you know him) is taking this night shift. We've been swapping nights spending the night over there.
Its actually kinda upsetting in that he is a proud/tough individual and he hates the idea of me (grandson) taking care of him to use the restroom etc. I think he is embarrassed to be thought of as weak. I dunno, but its gut wrenching to see a loved one sick. He's on a steady dose of morphine now to keep the pain in check. Hopefully my family and I can keep him as comfortable as possible. I'm realling considering quit smoking cigarettes now. He keeps smoking an invisible cigarette. Lifting his hand and inhaling even tho there isn't a cigarette. He is hooked up to oxygen, so its even extra strange to see.
We went to the funeral home to start planning, when he passes, he will be getting full military burial detail, escourt and gun salute have all been arranged. Also a U.S. Army insignia on his coffin.
