Server?

Hi all this a public appeal for a server if anyone has a server/line capable of host a game for 10-12 people, plz reply has i need a server too beta test my new map
Also need a few beta tester so post here or add me too msn b4 weekend (sat/sunday) for a url to the map, btw i think i'll only need around 5 beta testers as i have a few people from splash damage forums who will come and some of my |AoD| buddy's. ( thats a hint mike install install install :P )

opps forgot to say the map is for E.T and is a ctf map ctf_cave (name due to change if i can think of a better one)

Running cable modem system would be able to handle up to 10 if packets are tweaked right, e-mail me let me know. I was gonna talk to Scott about renting a sever on a monthly basis if you guys are interested. Scott if your reading this let me know your thoughts. Wont be able to get it till Dec 29th. If you guys get a chance do some searching for good prices on some 32 player public servers. Needs to be state side central location or the big hub coming out of Dallas or Virginia this way there is no problems for european connections.

Leadsoupany chance of some hints, tips or suggestions for setting up a small ten players server ? I have a DSL connection but when I tried a server on my computer it lags like shit with only two players on it, just wondering if it can be done?

2-4 players is the max we can have here across the pond in the the uk, and think thats goes for u too DJ, i know 4 players is max for dsl in ballymena so that must be for most of NI.
Btw i had a server in texas last year and it was fine for me, a few euro peps did whinge abit but i put that down to there tweaking, ping is king but it's not the be all and end all

In your server config set your sv_maxrate to 4000. If your upstream is 256k, that will get you 8 players.

coo- so dsl users can host for 8 then :P but my sucky cable is only 128 upload
