Origame Digital, the studio behind 2020's critically acclaimed Umurangi Generation, has just released a new game but banned it from being sold in Israel.
Bungie surprised players last month by announcing its intention to bring back Destiny 2 campaigns and other additions taken out of the game over the years. When that 'unvaulting' plan was initially announced, Bungie didn't share any specifics, nor a timeline as to when we can expect the things to return.
CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a free update to coincide with the release of anime series Edgerunners 2 on Netflix.
Red Dead Redemption 2's infamous animated horse testicles, which are realistic enough to contract in cold weather and expand again in the warmth, were apparently not a feature mandated by Rockstar. As iconic as they've become - a symbol of extraordinary detail in the game - they didn't originate from a list of features that needed to be added to the game. The horse testicles were instead the unexpected work of one person, or a group of people, autonomously working on the Cowboy epic.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign is currently available in early access, and if you're among the many who pre-ordered a copy in order to play it before launch, you've likely noticed a locked difficulty setting that's harder, even, than Realism.
Helldivers will be switching up its anti-cheat, as developer Arrowhead Game Studios has admitted that its Gameguard cheat policy "wasn't as effective as it could have been."
One of my very favourite things to do in Switch Sports Resort isn't, technically, a sport at all. I can't get enough of firing up Prop Plane's free-play mode, taking to the skies, and watching Wuhu Island do its thing below. Swing past the art museum or the shopping precinct and you'll see all sorts of little people milling around; take a wrong-way dive into a tunnel and here come the cars whizzing on by. Out on the water, racers whip and twirl; on the archipelago's sandiest beaches, holidayers recline in the tropical sun. Fly over the stadiums and sports arenas and you'll see matches in progress - furious bouts of tennis, concentrated swings on golfing greens, or the pin-toppling bustle of bowling - crowds going wild in tandem. And if it's quieter contemplation I want, I can explore the subterranean depths of a volcano, or chart a gently winding path along the river banks, or admire the lighthouse perched on the hill.
I think the most memorable bit of brilliance in the otherwise flawed diamond that is Final Fantasy 16 is the way it handles legacy. There are moments where Clive and his recalcitrant band of revolutionaries rage against the way of the world: they burn down cities, depose oligarchs, shatter crystals. It's a none-too-subtle rallying cry against the binding nature of tradition: a radical plea to tear down the structures of the past in order to sow the seeds of the future.
Xbox is reportedly gearing up for three more rounds of layoffs as the Microsoft gaming division continues CEO Asha Sharma's plan to reset the business. According to a new report, the first of these is taking place this month, followed by another in November and one in January 2027.
Microsoft has revealed the second batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, and there are few genuine corkers, including the console debuts of The Séance of Blake Manor and Mouthwashing, and the addition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - which only arrived on Xbox earlier this year.
