id advise not using that board anymore
since you are alrdy using SD ram
do a search for the MSI KT7Turbo2
Its a KT133A board with support for athlon xp cpus

of your other option is to get an KT400 board but this will require getting DDR ram and maybe a power supply so you can deliver enough power for the equipment
tho if you have a really good 300w psu then you should be ok without one

I also think you might be able to get away with using a 1.3GHz CPU on a board rated for 1.2GHz..you may just be limited to the 1.2Ghz speed..

Check you motherboard manual..there should be a jumper setting that you might have to adjust for the clock speed... [/B]

i dont think so because the AXP have a different pin layout
tho they use the same socket for all athlons
the XP models have a different placement for power delivery pins and power requirement
also you need to put thermal grease between the cpu and heatsink to aid in thermal transfer
