I belive the storie's of torture are true fo sure, what i dont belive is the people in goverment (uk) insisting the solider's who did the acts be punished, torture is a sorry fact of war!! I dont see noone complaining about the treatment u get if the iraqs get u(sure you've all seen the pictures of hundreds of iraqs stamping on corpse's, hanging's, draggings threw the streets etc torture me thinks)

10 people where arrested in manchester last month, 2 of them above the shops in my small town on the outskirts of manchester, the 2 arrested live no more than 5 mins walk from my door and are being accused of making chemical bombs!!
Also 10 mins drive from me you have oldham which is a shit hole for whites/western people since they had race riots there last year, now the town of oldham is split in 2 with a fence sperating the 2 comunities, so you know feelings are pretty high for the war in my area.

First of all, this wasn't torturing to make those Iraqi speak, it was for the ''pleasure'' of those sick fucks..
Second thing, if Iraqi people dance with a turkey in their hand and say ''Woof'', do the Americans have to do it too then?
They don't HAVE to torture, this is just childish and sick, and a bad example to ALL soldiers in the world..
And yes we do have racial problems in The Netherlands, especially from the neo-nazis that are still active in the region I live, and then you also have the hate from some people against Turkish people and Marrocans..
So we DO have that sort of problems, but why attack a country that has nothing to do with, let's say, 9/11, but still the ''excuse'' for the war is that exact date.
I also don't see the point of almost every American defending EVERY decision and action of their president, plus the enormous patriotism..
But now I'm going offtopic..
My point is, I think this war is more about profit for the Americans and Western countries, than for the sake of the Iraqi people and ending terrorism, which by the way CAN'T be stopped in my humble opinion..
Especially not with a war, because a war makes people angry and filled with hate, which leads to blind fury and attacks..
Holy shit I'm glad I FINALLY got this off my sleeve....

To true Fraggy. The supposition that the Allies have the right to 're-moralise' Iraq and its people is countered by the fact that the same behaviour we are appalled with (when the Iraqis are guilty of it) is 'ok', as long as we are the ones dishing it out.

Two wrongs never make a right.

I believe if we are 'righteous' enough to enter another country by force, usurp their government, and rebuild it to our own standards, standards of which are foreign to those people, then we should act accordingly and not engage in such war crimes as torture. The reality of it is that it does nothing but show we are no better than our accused foes.

The allies need to be the better men. Or they have lost the fight before the war even started.

Well some places in your country might be cool m8, but on television programs, I see lots of people who live in very poor neighbourhoods. Last week there was something about LA, and few weeks ago it was about NY......just to let you know that America isnt really THE PLACE TO BE.

Angel, I'm not trying to make your beautifully shaped country and nature-filled country look bad, I'm just saying that the government of the U.S.A isn't using it's powers right.
I'm not saying every American is an asshole, am I?
I'm not saying that all Americans behave like morons, do I?
I'm not saying you can't be proud of lots of nice cities and areas like NY and LA, am I?
I'm not saying your entire country is fecked up, am I?
I AM saying that I mostly don't agree with the plans and the morals of your government, aren't I?
