            • So many of the questions in a press briefing for the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft book revolved around whether the 52-year-old tabletop game would bend out of shape to work like a massively multiplayer online game. But while the D&D translation of WoW does include races and dungeons and characters from Blizzard's famous game, it doesn't fundamentally alter what it is.

                  • Creating a timely satire can be tough when development takes half a decade or more - it's the reason South Park's stuck with its crude art style for literal decades, but the developers of GTA 6 can't just replace their world-class tech with paper cutouts. Instead, the team simply tried to avoid trends that would become outdated come launch.

                    • Who doesn't love a good top-down ARPG; a solid dungeon-crawler with visceral action and real punchy combat that sticks in your teeth like toffee? Aside from Diablo and Path of Exile, there aren't as many out there as I'd like. But Tarae: The Unbound, from South Korean studio Boundary and publisher Krafton, might help change that.
